JASON BOWLES HEADS HOME TO CALIFORNIA THIS WEEKEND IN AMERICAN MAJORITY RACING NO. 81
“Jason looking forward to home race following top-25 run in Bristol.”
(MOORESVILLE, NC) March 19, 2012 – Every NASCAR driver puts a little extra effort forward when racing at their home track. Jason Bowles and his American Majority Racing No. 81 team are doing just that for this weekend’s Royal Purple 300 at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California. Growing up just ten minutes from the lightning fast two-mile oval in Fontana, Jason has been looking forward to this weekend for many, many years.
Jason on California…..“I can’t wait to get home for this weekend’s race in California. It’s going to be awesome to see all my family and friends, not to mention I’ve been craving Del Taco since Phoenix. The guys have been working extremely hard to get my American Majority Racing No. 81 Toyota ready for a strong run this weekend and the Toyota motor under the hood is definitely going to have plenty of power.”
Jason’s thoughts on Bristol race…..“We could just never get the car to feel comfortable enough for me to really make a move up through the field. It was so loose going into the turn that it just killed us but the guys kept working the whole race trying to make it better and I can’t thank them enough for all of their hard work. It was really cool to show support for Honor & Remember over the race weekend too. They are a great organization looking to create, establish and promote a nationally recognized flag that would fly continuously as a visible reminder to all Americans of the lives lost in defense of our national freedoms.”
Glad to be home…..Bowles is happy to be back in his home state for more reasons than just eating at Del Taco and seeing his family. He has had a ton of success there driving in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West. From 2007 to 2009, Jason won 7 races in the state of California including winning from the pole at Fontana Road Course in 2007. Bowles’ last start in California was the 2011 Toyota All Star Showdown at Irwindale. That race marked Jason’s biggest win of his career, beating out the best short track racers in the country in front of his home crowd.
Meet Jason this weekend…..Fans will have the chance to meet Jason, get a picture, and get his autograph this Friday at the race track. NASCAR is holding the first NNS autograph session of the season from 4:30PM – 5:30PM on Friday afternoon and Jason will be attending. Come out and wish him luck as he races at the Auto Club Speedway oval for the first time in his career.
